Landed in the humidity of the Ghanian sun and it was just what my body needed. The first day was spent in Accra at a hotel. And then we travelled to Kumasi. About 30min plane trip Accra to Kumasi.
First night straight out to a restaurant and the food was EPIC.
The penultimate part of the trip was to Elmina. The sad history that engulfs humans even to this day is slave trade. Hearing the stories of those who had were taken from their beautiful lush land to shores unknown, was hard to hear. To say its an emotional place is an understatement. I do believe the spirits lost there still live within the castle and tell a subtle story of their horrible time there.
Then before we knew it we were back in Accra. We did all the tourist types things. We visited the Black Star Square and also Kwame Nkrumah museum where he is buried and it is a museum all about him. One of Africa's trailblazing leaders from recent times.
Am I going back to Ghana? YES. Currently thinking about all activities that I will be doing on my next trip to Ghana.
If you want to watch what I have been up to head over to my Videos......
This month I am supporting this cause and would love if you could help.
Where to next.......
